Politicals discover pastrami in Alki

PUBLICOLA FINDS PASTRAMI IN SEATTLE:

Finding real Jewish meats in Seattle is more difficult than finding Republicans.  But, my favorite Seattle politics site may be good at both.

Over in West Seattle Kathryn Robinson  reports on one of those yuppie meat markets, Terra Cole Butchery, that she says offers  traditional pastrami.  The meat comes on  “lightly toasted sour rye heaped with the curly-edged meat, deeply smoky and edged with sweetness and dressed merely with a smear of grainy mustard.”  She does not mention whether they also offer  a Reuben (as in the pic above) or critical condiments like pickles or slaw.  My wife and I have pout this on our muss do list.  4541 California Ave SW, West Seattle, 206-258-2475; terracolebutchery.com
