Slippery Slope of Political Correctness.
Having taken back its offer to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Brandeis now needs to deal with the consequences of having greased the slippery slope of political correctness. Having rejected Ms. Ali for her strong stand against Islam, The University, it turns out, has invited Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda. Rwanda is 95% Christian. However, Mr. Kagame, it turns out, is also controversial .. blamed by some for the war in the Congo and for being a murderous dictator in Rwanda.
The Board of Trustees is meeting now and the school has hired a PR firm to rein in the Damage. Maybe they need to invite Ms. Ali to join their board to explain the complexities of religious morality?
