I hate the term “People of Color.”
This is the crew that won this year’s Intel Science Talent Search. 40 American kids. 8 of these are from Indian families, Others are Chinese, Korean ….
A very few are Euro or “white.”
Will someone tell me whether this 
prize recognizes what we call “people of color?”
I did my best to find people not of color, aka “white folks” in the picture seems like there are 12 who are or could pass for white. Of course some of these might be of the Hispanic race.
What I see is a paucity of African Americans. That is bad, very bad but what purpose is served by hiding our real lack of success under this euphemism? BTW, Barack Obama is a person of color!
