The strange thing about these data is that McAuliffe was supposed to be LEADING the ticket BUT Democrat Ralph Northam defeated Republican E.W. Jackson for Virginia lieutenant governor and Mark Obenshain, a Cuccinelli clone is leading Mark Herring by over 3%!!!
Maybe Virginians like having their women

For full disclosure, I should say that I have always disliked McAuliffe. His extravagant way of fund raising was a major reason I ended up opposing Hillary in 08. I suspect a less old school, smoke filled room character .. someone ore like Obama might have pulled Mr. Cooch’s pants down and hobbled the pervert’s chances. But then, I am NOT a Virginian.
MEANWHILE: BOSTON has lected a labor leader as Mayor! This is a big surprise as Connally, a pretty much establishment Democrat was well ahgead a couple of weeks ago. Between DelBlasio in NY, Walsh in Boston, and Murray (in about two hours) in Seattle, the uS mayors may be foreshadowing a real move to the left for the Democrats!
