Dagbladet in Norwat has published a blatantly antisemitic cartoon about circumcision.
The cartoon shows a massive wire clipper amutating a bay’s penis while blood flies and the police defer out of respect for custom. The baby’s mother stands beside him holding a blood-drenched spanner. The mother tells two police officers: “Abuse? No, it’s tradition, an important part of our beliefs.” To which the officers answer “Beliefs? Oh, that’s alright.”
The Anti Defamation League called on the editors of Dagbladet to issue an official apology and for other government and societal leaders in Norway to speak out against the cartoon.
The contrast here is striking … the media gacve into Luslim threats, ftwas of death arising outm of a comic picture of their founder, Mohamed. Will calls for respect of a Jewish baby get any response?
