SUNDAY REVELATIONS: We, not the ancient Canaani, are the problem in Connecticut.

Newtown Ct. is a short distance from New Canaan, Ct.

Few crimes are more harshly forbidden in the Old Testament than sacrifice to the god Moloch (for which see Leviticus 18.21, 20.1-5). The sacrifice referred to was of living children consumed in the fires of offering to Moloch. Ever since then, worship of Moloch has been the sign of a deeply degraded culture. Ancient Romans justified the destruction of Carthage by noting that children were sacrificed to Moloch there.

Though LaPierre is the pope of this religion, its most successful Peter the Hermit, preaching the crusade for Moloch, was Charlton Heston, a symbol of the Americanism of loving guns. I have often thought that we should raise a statue of Heston at each of the many sites of multiple murders around our land. We would soon have armies of statues, whole droves of Heston acolytes standing sentry at the shrines of Moloch dotting the landscape. Molochism is the one religion that can never be separated from the state. The state itself bows down to Moloch, and protects the sacrifices made to him. So let us celebrate the falling bodies and rising statues as a demonstration of our fealty, our bondage, to the great god Gun.

There is a terrible irony in Wills comment.  What happened last week in Connecticut was American.  The murderer was not a Canaanite or a worshiper of Moloch.  The pious mouthings of Mr. Wills are themselves hate filled … filled with the hatred of my ancestors against their neighbors the Canaani who worshiped Baal.  Baal was likley himself an antecedent to the singular god of my people and Baal was certainly a mjor god for the Phoenicians .. rules of the entire Mediterranean until Rome destroyed their capital Carthage.  After the Romans defeated Carthage and totally destroyed the city, they engaged in post-war propaganda to make their arch-enemies seem cruel and less civilized.

So, someone needs to tell George Will, a devout Roman Catholic, to look inward.  In the name of his God, millions have been killed and I rather doubt that turbning to Leviticus is a good idea today.  Geroge needs to stop deferring blame to Baal.
