We’re into the Southern Red Sea, and that means pirate waters for at least
the next week, not much to do about that, just make sure all the doors are
locked, and haul ass.
It seems that Wiper is mad at the Reefer for leaving a mess on the deck, and
the Electrician is mad at the Wiper for spraying water into a motor, I’ve
been out of that drama, it seems that when the deck gang was lowering the
Suez Boatmen’s boat they overran the crane and smashed part of the rail and
platform, so I’ve been rebuilding that.
The Republican cadet that I mentioned earlier is starting to reconsider some
of his views on life, always a good thing (for everybody not just
republicans)
The temperature is going up of course, the Sea is up around 30C so that
would be around 80F, the engine room is hitting 100-110 in the afternoons
now, at least it’s winter now, or at least it will be until we’re a few
miles further south.

Not much new here, still hauling ass through pirate waters, the weather is
hot but the seas are calm, of course calm seas also favor pirates, but this
ship is moving and has a high freeboard, so I doubt that there will be any
problems, not to mention pirate attacks have fallen in the last year (though
become more violent)
The Refer, Wiper and Electrician seem to have made peace, but there seems to
some form of distemper in the stewards department, and so it goes.
I did manage to lead our republican cadet to admit that there should be
socialized medicine, score one for the good guys, I think that the Wiper and
1st engineer plan to take him to Orchard Towers in Singapore for utter
debauchment, I’ll keep you posted of any details.

I’m out of the Red Sea and into the Indian Ocean, I should be in Jebal Ali
Sunday, the drama seems to have ended on here for now at least, I should be
in Singapore around the 12Th and back in the ditch on Xmas day or so.
