“I’ve had a number of experiences in life that have reminded me all too painfully just how precious life is. We all have our journeys and our hardships. Thirteen months ago a cousin of mine disappeared from the University of Washington campus. She was 18 years old and she is still missing today,” Malkin tearfully told a hushed crowd.
