Aslan Media is the most objective but liberal persepctive source I know for what is happening in the Islamic World. The author of this site, Reza Aslan, wrote a unique history of Islam … explaining a lot that I did not know about the roots of democracy and unique concepts of democracy in the origins of the Quran. Aslan’s ideas seem to me to explain the driving forces behind the Arab Spring and our best hopes for hoiw that may end up.
