Our Attorney General, Rod McKenna is running for governor. Here is a liberal take on the wannabe Washington Governor.
For a Jeffersonian like myself, McKenna is a problem. I keep saying that I want two parties as Jefferson did) and respect many conservative ideas … states rights, small business, traditional family values, etc etc. How to do that when we have one moderate party and one that appears to have gone over the edge last explored by the Know Nothings? Is there sanity left in the GOP?
McKenna’s PR posits that he is just that, a sane Republican. That could be interesting if true since his opponent is likley to be Jay Insley .. a VERY smart and sane Democrat. My wish as a Jefersonian is that McKenna is for real and that we will see a cmapign that addresses real issues. Insley is up to that, is the GOP?
