Wealth is Less Important Than Power

The usual equation of the golden calf with the bull on Wall Street is a false one. The calf did not represent wealth.  The Golden Calf represented the power of the Deity.   Wall Street’s bull is also less about wealth than it is about power ..power of the corporations.

Mussolini’s state was the first to discover that merger of the corporations with the state created an entirely new form of government.  He called this “fascism” after the bundle of rods used by officials of the Romans state, called lictors, to enforce state rule.

Fascism was, under Mussolini and Hitler, conflated with nationalism … cresting the totalitarian monstrosities of Hitler, Stalin and Mao.

Today, we have a new form .. more like Mussolini’s original idea .. with or without his grandiose ideas of restoring the Roman Empire.   The new form of fascism brings the corporation and the sate together under the fiction that corporations are people.  Corporatism even passes beyond the robber baron era because the corporate heads, unlike Rockefeller or the Rothschilds, control vast resources without the responsibility of ownership.

These corporate heads are predominate in the government, either directly as in China or indirectly through control of political parties as in the USA.

North Korea has gone ne step further, its corporate head is also its living God.
