The Schwartz Family Feud, Part 2

An email from my brother in law, Bill Quick:

Stephen:The photo you reproduce of my father-in-law, Dr. Robert Schwartz, at http://handbill.us/?p=23779 is a cropped copy of a photo I took http://www.swq.com/boston2008/20apr08_4679.jpg It and other photos from that day are posted at http://www.swq.com/boston2008/

The picture is copyrighted by myself, and I must insist that you promptly remove it from any and all blogs, websites, and other Internet activities that you might choose to use. Also, do not reproduce any other photos from the swq.com website at any time without my explicit permission.Let me know when you have deleted it.Thank you.Bill

Sadly I did delete it.
My removing the picture was followed by this email:

I will reiterate my previous points:

1) You are a mean-spirited, petty, ill-tempered ingrate.

2) I truly think you need psychiatric help for your narcissism. You have been way out of control the last few  weeks.

3) I do NOT authorize you to post private e-mails from me on your blog, website, or other internet locations.

Bill

Bill is not a trivial person.  He has had a successful clinical career as an endocrinologist and blogger specializing in diabetes.  My Dad enjoyed talking medicine with him. The pictures he does not want promulgated are worth a look.
The problem is that the tone of this email is all too typical.  If anything this is mild. Bill has accused me of conspiring with my stepsister to steal things from my Dad’s estate, and worse.  These emails reach a point of abuse that is hard to take.
In making this post I ignored part three since, at least as I understand the law, any email Bill sends me is mine to use as I choose.  Even when I try to reply calmly,  nothing good seems to happen and he then harasses my attorney.
Hopefully knowing that his emails can be made public will tamper his willingness to use abusive language.   For my part, I do not intend to reply by email but have assured Bill that he is completely free to reply here.

*The image of Bill is not from his website, rather it is a thumbnail from Widgetbox, a social site for people in various form of community healthcare.  My understanding is that thumbnails may be reproduced under fair use doctrine.

I have never given the author permission to reproduce any of my confidential correspondence on the Internet. However, the objective reader will see that he is indeed a mean-spirited, petty, ill-tempered ingrate, who truly needs psychiatric help for his narcissism.
