GOP Sen. Ted Cruz, who represents Texas, is a pile of canine excrement. I don’t need to explain or justify that; his behavior speaks for itself. This is the guy who stood on a debate stage, staring like a deer in headlights, when Trump called his father a terrorist. He’s the same guy who sunned himself in Cancun, Mexico, while a grid failure left much of Texas in the dark and dozens of people died (details here), earning him the sobriquet “Cancun Ted.”
In the campaign video below, Cruz attacks transgender athletes. That 30 seconds of canned bigotry, by itself, is repulsive. But it gets worse. Near the end of the video, below, you see two high school girls, one wearing a “Westview” sweatshirt, which refers to Westview High School in the Beaverton, Oregon, school district. Neither the school, nor the girls or their families, gave the Cruz campaign permission to use their picture. What’s more, they’re not transgender.
How did Cruz’s campaign get that picture? According to The Hill, they swiped it from an Oregon newspaper. (Read story here.)
