Republicans love conspiracy theories, and their latest is that Kamala Harris cheated during the debate by getting coaching from her earrings.
It seems there’s a German company that makes earphones disguised as pearl earrings (see story here). But there’s only superficial resemblance between their devices and the earrings Harris wore during the debate. See for yourself in the photos below.
This is stupid on so many levels. Harris doesn’t need coaching. She’s a veteran prosecutor who tried cases in court. You expect her to be good on her feet, and she is. You expect her to prepare, and rehearse what she would say. After 3½ years as Vice President, she doesn’t need crib notes or aids to talk about the issues.
But to Republicans, any candidate who beats them in a debate or election must be cheating, so they go on their snipe hunts. To serious people, it’s laughable. This is about the dumbest thing to come down the pike in a long time.
