Tina Peters is a former Colorado county clerk indicted for election crimes whose trial is to begin on July 31, 2024. (See details here.)
Patrick Byrne (photo, left) was a long-time CEO of Overstock.com, an e-commerce company, until he resigned because of an affair with a Russian spy. Nowadays he’s prominent as a Trump pal, election denier, anti-vaxxer, and conspiracy theory promoter. (See details here.)
According to the Washington Post, Byrne allegedly posted on X Spaces (see story here),
“If you have any brains at all, which I’m not sure they do, they should be throwing in the towel and just surrendering and dropping this case against Tina because those who don’t are going to end up facing a piano wire and a blowtorch before this is over if I have anything to do with it,” said Byrne at one point. “So I know that’s probably another felony, but …”
Darn right it’s a felony, and Byrne shouldn’t be surprised to get a visit from law enforcement. And where did he get the piano wire idea from? From Nazis; some of the July 20, 1944, plotters on Hitler’s life reputedly were with hanged with piano wire suspended from meat hooks. This guy is sick, sick, sick. Maybe he does belong behind bars.
Update: A jury convicted Tina Peters on August 13, 2024, on 7 of the 10 counts against her, read story here.
