She’s not unattractive (see photo at left), but if you break up with her, she could be lethal.
Melody Sasser, 47, of Knoxville, Tennessee, met a guy online. They had a shared interest in hiking. Things went south when he married someone else.
Sasser allegedly told him, “I hope you fall off a cliff and die,” traveled to his Alabama home, keyed his new wife’s car, and tried to hire a hitman on the dark web to kill her, spending nearly $10,000, which makes it appear she was serious.
Alabama police learned of the plot from a “foreign law enforcement agency,” according to CNN (read story here). She was busted and charged by federal prosecutors with “using interstate commerce facilities for murder-for-hire.”
Because the hit didn’t come off, she could only get 10 years in prison max, but if convicted probably will get less, especially if she cops a plea. Until then, please note that like all criminal suspects, she’s presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
First, if you whack a guy’s wife to make him available, he probably isn’t going to pick you to be his next sweetheart anyway, especially if you get the death penalty or life without parole.
Second, a lot of ladies probably will tell you, “No man is worth it.” To which I would merely respond, “Yeah, there are no Prince Charmings among us. We’re all frogs, and if you kiss us, we’ll still be a frog.”
