Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) has an opening for a “pro-family” policy adviser.
Jeremy Cubas (photo, left), was hired for the job last month, but his views on Hitler, race, and rape don’t square with Dunleavy’s family values concepts.
When local reporters listened to recordings of a podcast that Cubas co-hosts, they heard him praise Hitler, deny anti-Semitism exists, and claim Hitler went after the Jews because they were “homeless people just taking over the country.” (See story here.)
Cubas also downplayed the seriousness of rape as a crime, and defended marital rape, arguing women “consent” to sex with their husbands when they sign a marriage contract.
He also called Martin Luther King Jr. a “loser” and urged people to “get violent” toward transgender activists. (See story here.)
When the governor heard about this, he concluded Cubas wasn’t a good fit for the task of developing a state “pro-family” website. So, the job is open again for interested qualified applicants. I don’t know if applicants will have to take a test this time, but that might be a good idea. You know, find out ahead of time whether they’re really “pro-family.”
