Armed weak-minded fool wanted to “cull weak-minded” people

It sounds like something out of Nazi ideology.

The suspected leaker of Pentagon secrets, Jack Teixeira, 21, “wrote on social media … that he wanted to ‘kill a ton of people’ because it would be ‘culling the weak minded,'” Raw Story reported on Thursday, April 27, 2023 (read story here).

Teixeira, who before his arrest was an IT technician in the Air National Guard with access to computers holding classified information, is accused of revealing “US concern over Ukraine’s military capacity” and U.S. spying on Israel and South Korea.

The revelations have been described as “the most damaging leak of US classified documents in a decade.”

He was quickly tracked down by the FBI after posting those documents in an online chat room frequented by gamers. He’d made little effort to cover his tracks.

If you want a judge and jury to read your violent fantasies, post them on social media. Prosecutors arguing against pre-trial release told the court Teixeira also “searched mass shootings online” and asked “what type of rifle would be easy to operate from the back of an SUV.” The agents who raided his parents’ home, where he was living when arrested, found numerous weapons in his bedroom.

Raw Story says a school suspended Teixeira in 2018 after a classmate overheard him talking about guns, Molotov cocktails, and making “racial threats.” It’s strange this didn’t turn up in his background check before he was issued a security clearance.

Or maybe some weak-minded fool in the National Guard just didn’t pay any attention to it, figuring weak minds get stronger over time. They usually don’t.
