The ATF wants to ban pistol stabilizing braces, arguing they turn handguns into short-barreled rifles (photo below), which are illegal under federal law (think of sawed-off shotguns, but shooting bullets instead of buckshot). Read story here.

Under the “originalist” interpretation of the Constitution used by conservative Supreme Court justices to justify their laissez-faire approach to guns, pistol braces aren’t included in the Second Amendment because they didn’t exist then, and they aren’t even firearms.
But Republicans want mass shooters to have them anyway (see story here).
One of those defending pistol braces is Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL). She was a professional bimbo before being elected to Congress by Florida’s crazy voters. You can read her bio here. Add “tic” to her last name, and you’ll have a pretty good idea of how she comports herself in House committee hearings.
