What sets America apart is freedom.
In our country, even swine can run for Congress, and that’s a great thing — as long as they’re not elected. And if they are, that need not be disastrous. For example, the world didn’t end when Marjorie Taylor Greene got elected to Congress, even though what little civility still existed in that body did.
Let’s not fool ourselves about Congress being some sort of deliberative body. It’s a mosh pit, a place where the basest and most predatory instincts of Americans, a rowdy species of humanoids, get acted out.
An especially venal specimen of swine that ran for Congress is Laura Loomer, whom , a respectable journalist who writes for MSNBC, calls “as vile as they come” (see details here). Almost everything flowing from her lips makes civilized people want to puke. But, surprisingly, she came up with one really good idea.
After getting her ass kicked in the GOP primary, she’s telling her supporters (44% of the total GOP primary vote) to not vote for her GOP rival. From the Democratic perspective, that’s a really good idea, because it could hand a safe GOP House seat to the Democrats, who may need every Laura Loomer they can get to hold onto their House majority.
She also soaked up all his money in the primary, and it sounds like her supporters won’t give him a dime for the November election.
Armed with a couple of Senate pickups, which is looking more likely thanks to a torrent of terrible GOP candidates, that would allow them to pass voting rights, nationwide abortion rights, environment-saving legislation, an insulin price cap, and neuter the runaway Supreme Court.
None of this would be possible without swine like Loomer who are so repulsive even 56% of the Republican voters in a safe Republican district won’t vote for them, and the other 44% won’t vote for the candidate who isn’t a walking outhouse.
But most of all, the fact a swine like her can run for Congress is a glorious affirmation of America’s freedom. Isn’t America great? Now watch the “running of the pigs” video below.
