Whooo boy. While we weren’t watching, Chrissy Teigen and Ivanka Trump were going at it, with Chrissy throwing (and scoring) most or all of the punches. At least, that’s what Jared is saying now.
Trying to land some blows of his own, he’s calling Chrissy a “nasty troll” (see story here). Ouch! That must hurt! Can’t say I blame him, though; he’s just defending his wife (and has to, if he doesn’t want to become a punching bag at home).
The trouble apparently started when Ivanka gave up her woman-empowering business pursuits and became a presidential adviser. I’m certainly not against this; the country badly needed a moderating influence near her father, however weak and feeble. And, looking back, things could’ve gone farther south than they did, so maybe we should thank her for that.
But Teigen isn’t having it, and announced to the world that she’s “had it with anyone who EVER defends this woman or puts her as the ‘sane’ one in this family.” Sure, sane is a relative concept when talking about the Trumps, I’ll give her that, but this doesn’t leave much room for negotiation.
Teigen even ridiculed Ivanka for suggesting cooped-up families deal with Covid-19 by going on camping vacations in their living rooms. Sure, at first glance that seems silly beyond words, but desperate situations call for desperate measures. Ivanka’s children are older than Teigen’s kids, and were climbing higher walls.
Kushner said his wife’s feelings were hurt, but she never lowered herself to her “their level or ‘got into the mud,'” which may be why she couldn’t go 15 rounds. There are times when you have to punch with your feet and aim below the belt buckle when the referee is distracted if you want to stay in a fight and go the distance.
I think the obvious takeaway here is don’t be married to either one of them, which makes me question Jared’s judgment. What was he thinking? And what was his wife thinking, to get into a ring with this babe, and without gloves too?
