Teslas were cool until they started spontaneously combusting and self-crashing, and Elon Musk was revealed as a slimebucket who manipulates stock, rewards his employees with mass layoffs, offered to let Trump back on Twitter, and endorsed a fascist for president.
Now, neither Teslas nor Musk are quite so cool anymore.
The fascist, aka Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, whose many crusades against civilized decency need not be reiterated here (use the search function of this blog for more details), reciprocated by welcoming “support from African-Americans.” Well, one, at least.
That’s right, Musk is an African-American. He’s from South Africa, and now he’s an American citizen, having been naturalized in 2002 in his early thirties.
Actually, DeSantis didn’t get it quite right; Musk is an African-Canadian-American, because he also has Canadian citizenship (because his mother is Canadian, see story here), and he actually was African-Canadian before he was African-American. But that’s a minor detail.
What’s really important for DeSantis and other Republicans is that they can now legitimately claim to have an African-American supporter — who’s white. Read story here.
