The U.S. Census Bureau declared last Thursday the 2020 census was a “bust” because of “significant” overcounts and undercounts in 14 states, MSNBC reported on Monday, May 23, 2022 (read story here).
Minnesota kept a seat in Congress it would have lost, because of the errors, while “the states that will suffer the most as a result of these errors are, by and large, majority Republican,” MSNBC said.
Don’t blame this on Biden, he didn’t oversee the 2020 census. It was conducted on Trump’s watch, whose underlings’ incompetence ended up costing far more red states than blue states federal money and seats in Congress. So if you’re a Republican living in one of those states, and you don’t like that, maybe you should’ve voted for Hillary in 2016. If you want a competent and smoothly run government, you have a better chance with Democrats.
