Igor Pedin rescued his dog, Zhu Zhu, from besieged Mariupol by walking 140 miles.
On the way, he tried to blend in, but was arrested and questioned by Russians — then let go. He walked past dead bodies, stepped around mines, and crossed destroyed bridges. He and his dog made it to safety.
