There have been plenty of news stories about hate crimes against Asian-Americans.
Stupid whites (and some Hispanics and blacks, too) have blamed them for Covid-19. They have nothing to do with it.
And it’s getting worse. “More Americans are now blaming Asian Americans for Covid-19 than at the height of the pandemic in 2021,” NBC News reported on Friday, May 6, 2022 (story here).
A study by advocacy groups shows, “More than 20 percent of respondents said this year that people of Asian descent are at least partly responsible for Covid-19,” NBC News said, which is a doubling from last year, when 11% said that community “was to blame.” That’s 1 in 5 of all Americans.
A California university study “showed a 339 percent increase in anti-Asian violence between 2020 and 2021.”
