They call themselves the “People’s Convoy,” but they don’t represent us.
They’re a fringe group of far-right, pro-Trump racists who’ve hijacked the American flag and term “People” for a barely-disguised white supremacy movement.
On Friday, March 18, 2022, they unveiled one of their goals: Scrape the paint off Black Lives Matter Plaza (photo below), the Washington D.C. pedestrian mall signifying that black people are human and their lives are valuable. That’s very hard for these folks to swallow.
They claim to be for “freedom.” But whose? Only theirs, it seems.
