Remember 2019, when Trump was impeached for extorting Ukraine, and virtually every Republican defended him?
Or that Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort (photo, left; profile here), now a disbarred lawyer and pardoned felon, was on the payroll of Putin’s Ukrainian frontman? (If you don’t, go here.)
My, how a little invasion, and bombing women and children, changes things. Now the GOP wants you to forget all of that.
“Today, the Republican Party has decided that Ukraine is a bastion of democracy under siege …. Gone is the blithely echoing Russian talking points on Ukrainian malfeasance in 2016. There’s no mention anymore of Trump’s willingness to place his own political future over Ukraine’s ability to defend itself,” MSN noted here.
Sounds good. But what will the GOP stand for tomorrow?
