“We have demands,” but don’t know what they are

Here in America (unlike Russia), protesting is legal and legitimate (to most folks, anyway, with some exceptions). But some causes are more compelling and popular than others. Also, it helps to have one.

The so-called “People’s Convoy” mimicking Canada’s truckers’ protest has arrived in Washington D.C., and they have demands, but aren’t sure what they are.

When they started out from California, they wanted an “end to all coronavirus pandemic-related restrictions,” the Guardian notes (here), but with mandates now being lifted as infection rates subside, that issue is sputtering out like a dying campfire.

So, “The changing circumstances [are] now prompting convoy organizers to adapt their demands to a more free-ranging basket of aspirations and motives,” the Guardian said. And what are those? “The crowds chanted anti-Biden slogans and displayed support for Trump.” Yeah, well, we settled that on November 3, 2020.
