Currently under construction (photo below), the $500 million yacht will be the world’s largest sailboat by length (details here). It’s big enough to have its own construction crane, and a bridge has to be dismantled to get it from shipyard to sea. Huffington Post notes that Bezos paid no U.S. income taxes in 2007, 2011, or 2018, and “paid a true tax rate of less than 1% between 2014 and 2018” (see story here). Our tax code doesn’t exactly “soak the rich.”
