And it may land him in prison.
James Beeks (photos), 49, of Orlando, a Broadway actor currently playing Judas in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” betrayed his country on January 6, 2021.
He went to Washington D.C. and met up with a group of fellow Oath Keepers, donned tactical outfit, and was part of a “stack” formation (explained here) that forced entry to the Capitol Building, assaulting cops in the process, and went inside to disrupt the electoral vote counting.
He’s charged with felony obstruction of Congress and misdemeanor trespassing. Most Capitol rioters sentenced on similar charges have gotten jail time.
The Oath Keepers are a violent rightwing anti-government paramilitary group, and hardcore Trump loyalists, who are an intense focus of FBI investigators and federal prosecutors for their role in the Capitol insurrection.
You’d think Beeks would’ve learned something from the script he knows so well, but apparently he didn’t. He was arrested in Milwaukee last week.
