This must be NFL Players Behaving Badly Month.
First, Harry Ruggs, a wide receiver, was fired by the Las Vegas Raiders after being charged with multiple felonies for driving drunk and slamming his Corvette into another car at high speed. The woman and her dog in the other car burned to death.
Then there was Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers getting benched after catching Covid-19, after lying about being vaccinated, and then going on a radio show to promote nearly every false Covid-19 conspiracy theory there is.
Now, the Raiders have fired another player, cornerback Damon Arnnett (photo, above), “after video appearing to show him threatening to kill someone while holding a gun went viral over the weekend,” CBS News reported on Monday, November 8, 2021 (story here). There goes his $13.4 million contract. And all the years of hard work it took to get the opportunity to play in the NFL. Was it worth it?
What’s with these people? Not enough padding in their helmets?
