Several GOP senators went off half-cocked at Attorney General Merrick Garland in a hearing on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, over a letter describing parents who disrupt school meetings as “domestic terrorists.” They called it “shameful” and demanded he resign. The problem? The letter was written by a private organization (which later apologized for its choice of words), not the Department of Justice. Watch the video here.
They thought they had a “gotcha.” They didn’t. He and his department had nothing to do with the letter.
When people are this careless with facts, you stop listening to them.
Of course, I never expected better from them.
They’re Republicans.
