Her story is far from unique. There should be no gloating over these incidents. This useless waste of human life, through stupidity and ignorance, is profoundly tragic. And sad.
If she had children she does not qualify for a Darwin Award. Disease usually does not qualify one for an award unless one is running with dogs that have rabies.
That’s incorrect. The Darwin Awards Rules clearly state (here), “the rules do not disqualify nominees who have already reproduced.” (Note: There have been no cases of nominees reproducing after their qualifying acts, and none are expected in the future.) This makes sense, because it doesn’t take any brains to reproduce; even earthworms can do it. Nor does anything in the general rules afford immunity to contestants who recklessly expose themselves to the dangers of Covid-19, should their efforts at self-destruction prove successful.
Four children lost their mother.
The tragedy is a waste of human life by choice, while leaving behind four children and a grieving family.
Ignorance is not bliss, just mask less stupidity.
