Fights broke out at the L.A. city hall on Saturday, August 14, 2021, between anti-vaxxers and counter-protesters. (Story and more photos here.) Say, don’t we have a pandemic to fight? And shouldn’t we be fighting it together? It’s a real concern that as Delta rages, and other more virulent variants may appear, mask and vaccine mandates may become more necessary — and resistance to them may become more violent. People have a right to protest, but they don’t have a right to endanger others. And those who go looking for fights are in the wrong, no matter which side of the argument they’re on.
