“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” That’s an NRA motto.
But being a “good guy with a gun” got a Colorado man killed on Friday, June 25, 2021.
First, a cop-hater named Ronald Troyke dressed up in tactical gear, went hunting for police officers, and gunned one down at a mall in a Denver suburb.
Then a bystander named Johnny Hurley (photo, left), described as a “Good Samaritan,” shot Troyke.
Next, another cop responding to the scene mistook Hurley for the suspect and shot him. (Read story here.)
Moral of the story: Don’t be anywhere near a gun and a cop at the same time. Cops are jumpy these days.
