A GOP-controlled Michigan senate committee wrapped up its investigation of the 2020 election by concluding Biden won the state and the results were fair and accurate, its report issued on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, says.
“Sen. Edward McBroom, the Republican chair of the oversight committee, wrote in the report that when he agreed to investigate the election, ‘rumors and uncertainty were rampant,’ including ‘dead voters, mystery ballot dumps, foreign interference, and ballot harvesting,’” but “months of investigation … found nothing to them,” Mother Jones reported.
The Republican-drafted report called claims that votes were switched from Trump to Biden “indefensible,” and accused conspiracy-based fundraising efforts of “purposely defrauding” donors.
