Houston tiger going to a new home

The Houston tiger (photo, left) has been handed (pawed?) over to authorities by its owner’s wife, CNN reported on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Animal control officers will deliver it on Sunday to the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, an animal sanctuary in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As of 2019, the facility already had two tigers and was acquiring a third (see story here).

The tiger, now dubbed “India,” will have his own 3-acre pen. Presumably so he doesn’t eat the sanctuary’s other residents.

Below: He looks happy in his new home.
