A South Carolina restaurant manager who worked a black slave 100 hours a week without pay for 6 years has to pay the emancipated slave over $500,000 in back wages.
Bobby Paul Edwards (below left), 56, also was handed a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty in 2019 to forced labor charges.
