Alaska state senator Lori Reinbold (R) was banned by Alaska Airlines last week after repeatedly refusing to comply with its mask policies and calling its employees “mask bullies,” CNN reported on Monday, April 26, 2021 (read story here).
On Sunday, CNN said, she “had to drive more than 14 hours, including a portion of the trip through Canada, and take a ferry to reach Juneau” to attend a legislative session considering a bill extending Gov. Mike Dunleavy’s emergency pandemic powers, which she has labeled “socialist” (read about that, along with her running battles with Dunleavy, a fellow Republican, here and here).
She’s also been kicked out of legislative meetings for refusing to wear a mask (read about that here), so it may turn out to be a wasted trip.
Is she afflicted with a bad case of cabin fever? Maybe she’ll be Alaska’s next Sarah Palin.
