A Virginia cop who can’t hit a cow-sized target at close range apparently shot his partner instead.
The cow escaped from a stockyard (wouldn’t you, if you were the cow?) near Harrisonburg, Virginia, and wound up near a 7-11 store.
Police were called after the cow was injured during ranchers’ attempts to capture it.
When they arrived, the cow resisted arrest, assaulted the officers, and a cop who shot at the critter hit another officer instead.
The officer was struck in the lower abdomen and transported to a local hospital. We, of course, wish him a speedy recovery and better shooting by his partners in the future. The cow was reported as a fatality.
