Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 89 (photo, left), whose Fox News allegedly is a “hub of anti-vax propaganda,” got vaccinated through U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS) on December 18, “before almost anyone else … presumably because he didn’t want COVID to kill him,” according to Crooks And Liars, a progressive website. Recent polling shows that among Republicans, half the men and a third of the women won’t get vaccinated (read about that here). While it’s hard to say how much of this is Murdoch’s influence, a lot of those folks watch Fox, some as their sole information source, and it’s probably safe to say that network’s anti-vaxxer show hosts are having an impact.
Meanwhile, as you probably know by now, Donald Trump quietly got vaccinated at the White House in January before leaving office (read that story here).
Apparently what’s good for the flock isn’t good enough for the head sheep.
