Yellow sub-marine

A yellow lobster caught by a Maine lobsterman has been donated to a university and “lovingly named Banana,” CNN says. The oddity occurs in roughly 1 in 30 million lobster catches. Read story here. Question: Is it discrimination to spare a lobster from a boiling pot because of the color of its shell? The other 29,999,999 lobsters might think that’s unfair.

    The other 29,999,999 were someone’s dinner. Capitalism demands this yellow guy must demand a high price like those bottles of sparking wine from Champaign, France.

    The lobsterman who caught Banana donated him to the university. Capitalism has a place in the grand scheme of things, but isn’t the only governing idea in the universe, and doesn’t always have the right answer. Sometimes the heart should, and does, overrule capitalism’s forces and inclinations.
