A “very ill” Washington man “spoke passionately and emotionally about serving as a faithful elector and casting his electoral votes for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, in accordance with the will of the state’s voters,” CNN reported on Monday, December 14, 2020, as electors across the nation cast their votes on a day of no surprises.
Jack Arends (photo) “said he believed it was his ‘duty’ to vote” for Biden and Harris, and told the audience “it will be up to others to rebuild the nation under a Biden administration.” He said,
“In November, I was told there is no more medical treatment that can help me, so it was important for me to do this one thing that I could do while I still can.”
