President Trump intervened in the FDA approval process for Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine in the most shocking way possible on Friday, December 11, 2020.
He ordered the agency head to either approve the vaccine or else. The threat was conveyed to FDA Commissioner Dr. Steven Hahn by Mark Meadows, Trump’s chief of staff. Read story here.
The Pfizer vaccine has caused allergic reactions in people prone to allergies, according to reports from Britain, although that’s not expected to hold up approval for general public use. Allergic reactions to vaccines is a known phenomenon.
But the episode, again, shows Trump’s disdain for science and public health.
Trump, and Republicans in general, have brushed aside pandemic dangers as they’ve sought to reopen the economy and tried to force workers back to production and processing lines where hundreds gotten sick, some of whom died, while seeking liability protection for employers — reflecting an apparent decision to sacrifice lives to business profits, a policy stance tinged by racism, because many of those workers are minorities, and minority communities have been hardest-hit by the pandemic.

The worst president in US history and the most exhausting. Doesn’t he rest? Or is it the reported effect of use/abuse of Sudafed?
Retire Mr. president and play lots of golf in the Florida sunshine and give us all a rest.
No need for him to resign; we’ve just fired him.
He is desperate to remain and destroy everything that is held as tradition in the history of America.
He didn’t win and he cannot move on from the loss and neither can his immature, selfish, gullible, stupid followers.
