GOPers hid Covid-19 legislative outbreak from Dem colleagues

In a shocking display of partisan nastiness, GOP leaders in the Minnesota senate warned their Republican colleagues about a Covid-19 outbreak in their caucus, but kept Democrats in the dark.

“The outbreak amid a number of GOP senators and staff appeared to be linked to a Republican senator who tested positive after attending a party caucus earlier this month,” Huffington Post said. The Republicans’ senate chief of staff then “alerted Republicans to the outbreak … and instructed all GOP Senate staffers to work from home,” but neither he nor anyone else “said a word to Democratic politicians or staff who shared the same spaces.”

When Democrats learned about it they were incensed, and called the Republicans’ behavior “outrageous and completely unacceptable.” The governor, also a Democrat, suggested it was immoral when he said anyone aware of a positive COVID-19 test has a “moral obligation” to inform others who might be exposed.
