In Washington, all voters vote by mail, and many returned their ballots early, due to concerns about Trump’s tampering with mail service. So there won’t likely be a large number of additional ballots received on Election Day. But that turnout percentage already exceeds the expected national turnout of around 67%, which would be the highest of any presidential election since 1900.
Washington will certainly go for Biden, re-elect Gov. Inslee, the legislature is unlikely to flip, and there is no U.S. Senate race this year, so the state’s voters will be watching the national results and local races, including a couple of controversial ballot referendums.
Roughly 100 million people across the nation have voted as of Monday night, and another 60 million are expected to vote on Election Day.
