GOP senator Mitch McConnell, who’s currently running for re-election, “did not answer questions about his health … after reporters asked him about what appeared to be bruises and bandages on his hands …. The 78-year-old did not respond when asked if he was being treated by a doctor,” CNN reported on Thursday, October 22, 2020 (read story here).
A doctor who frequently posts on the HorsesAss.org blog commented, “My guess is a heavy anticoagulant therapeutic burden and probably some outpatient procedure(s) in the last several days for which he had veins catheterized. [His 2003] Triple-bypass was for occlusions. So he’s gotta be on more than just a baby aspirin per day. My guess is warfarin or something stronger.”
