Steve Bannon says, “I’ll make this prediction right now: If for any reason the election is stolen from, or in some sort of way Joe Biden is declared the winner, Trump will announce he’s going to run for re-election in 2024,” he told the newspaper. “You’re not going to see the end of Donald Trump.” (Read story here.)
Okay.
Let’s start with any election that Trump doesn’t win is “stolen.” This is because Bannon says so. It just is.
I actually agree with Bannon about some things: (i) Trump won’t go away quietly if America’s voters steal the election from him, unless he flees the country or is incarcerated, and (ii) if the voters do steal the election and get away with it, Trump might try for a comeback in 2024, unless he flees the country or is incarcerated. However, I can think of reasons why Trump might not be the GOP candidate in 2024:
- He’s dead, or
- He fled the country, or
- If he didn’t, he’s in Florence ADX
So, a Biden-Trump rematch isn’t a sure thing. Heck, it’s uncertain Biden will be the Democratic nominee. Trump, if he’s still around, might have to run against Harris in 2024. And the voters might steal that election, too.
