“Beatrice, AL | An Alabama woman had the surprise of her life when, while surfing the web, she fell on videos involving her husband and a goat in sexual foreplay,” the headline screamed in World News Daily Report, a satirical fake news website whose motto is, “Where Facts Don’t Matter,” reminiscent of the Trump White House press briefing room.
According to Wikipedia, the website purports to be an American Jewish Zionist newspaper based in Tel Aviv and run by Canadians.
The fake story continued,
“She was actually consulting the history of her web browser when she discovered the double life of her husband, who took pleasure posting the controversial videos on his YouTube account. The videos, that have now been removed from YouTube, led to the arrest of the 36-year-old man who would have taken affection not only to the family pet goat, but also to other animals of the small family farm such as a turkey, a lamb and even their emu, if one believes the diary of the accused man, found at the scene.”
Read the fake story here. And to make sure you know the story is fake, and emphasize the fact it’s a satire, read this debunking labeling it as a “hoax” here.
None of this will do any good. People will read this posting and tell their friends a 36-year-old Alabama man cheated on his wife with a goat. How do I know? From the following:
- People believe Trump
- People believe QAnon conspiracy theories
- 300,000 people have viewed this hoax article and they keep coming
- People believe in UFOs
- People fall for scams
and
- People don’t believe the Holocaust happened
- People don’t believe Apollo 11 landed on the moon
- People don’t believe the advice of medical experts on Covid-19
- People don’t believe climate change is happening
- People don’t believe science
WTF??? How did so many members of a species capable of landing on the moon, building nuclear-powered submarines, and inventing computers and the internet become so stupid?
