G’bassa D’Costa, a TV executive and real estate investor, was walking her dog outside her house when a woman in a car pulled up, began interrogating her, and asserted she was “trespassing on private property.” She sure was: On her own property. Read story here.
Oh, and Karen denied being a racist and claimed “this has nothing to do with racism.” Sure. How many white dog walkers has she accosted in this manner?
This is about people assuming facts and making judgments based on skin color with no other information. Isn’t that what racism is? Or maybe this Karen thinks a person isn’t racist if they’re not wearing a white hood and, um, can be identified.
Photo: Smile for the camera, Karen, because you’re famous now.
The woman probably needs a crash course in trespassing as it appears the incident occurs on a public through fare. How much racial bias is involved is uncertain. Maybe the woman routinely stops all dog walkers she de not recognize in the neighborhood. Is she part of the neighborhood? Maybe she does not like presents left by the dogs being walked.
You know darn well what’s going on. Stop making excuses for these people.
